Howrylak/Fleming budget proposal.

This is the budget to keep the library open with no new taxes proposed by Councilman Howrylak and Councilman Fleming, but rejected by the remainder of council.  Instead council demanded more taxes to keep the library open.

Real Tax Rate Presentation

City of Troy Management always shows our millage as the lowest.  Royal Oak doesn't agree.  They show Troy is not the lowest.  Are they picking and choosing?  Also Troy maintains an outstanding volunteer fire department which is a substantial cost savings relative to other communities.

Early Retirements saves $2.6 million / year

Why did they publish the savings just after the election?  Simple, they could have operated the library with no new taxes.
